Business Context
Rapid onboarding needs and limited facilitator capacity led to inconsistent knowledge transfer and heavy reliance on informal peer training. The organization needed a scalable, asynchronous solution to standardize onboarding content.
Audience
New hires across teams, including remote and hybrid employees, as well as managers supporting early role transitions.
My Role
Lead instructional designer responsible for needs analysis, course structure, development in Articulate Rise, and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
Learning Strategy
Asynchronous onboarding using Articulate Rise to centralize core knowledge, reduce reliance on live facilitation, and support progressive learning during early employment stages.
Solution & Artifacts
A modular Rise onboarding course with sequenced lessons, knowledge checks, and reinforcement activities designed to integrate with manager-supported onboarding.
Outcomes & Indicators
- Standardized onboarding content to reduce reliance on informal, peer-led training.
- Improved access to core knowledge for remote and hybrid new hires.
- Established a foundation for future time-to-proficiency and readiness tracking.
Reflection & Next Iteration
With additional organizational support, future iterations would integrate manager feedback surveys and early performance indicators to strengthen evaluation.
